by Laurence Gonzales is that kind of book. It is the equivalent of an intellectual feast that keeps you coming back to the table for one more delicious morsel to savor. A few months back Jean-Jacques Auffret and I started a collaborative project to summarize the book, chapter by chapter. This new Flophouse series is the fruit of this collective labour.
