I too thought that was a bi...Ah, you noticed that. I too thought that was a bit highhanded of them. And Ms. Riener made the same point to the Bulgarian authorities. The answer from the courts was that it was legitimate to take ALL of her travel documents in order to keep her from traveling outside the country. Austria did not object and I don't know if it was because she didn't ask for their help (I doubt that) or because Ms. Riener was in another state of citizenship and therefore they could not act to assist her in any way (most lkely).
